The Vasse Virgin Philosophy
Nestled amongst national parks and picturesque
vine covered slopes within the wine growing region of Margaret
River is a relatively small family owned olive grove committed
to the production of premium cold pressed extra virgin olive
oil. The olive grove that creates the Vasse Virgin estate
oil is managed using organic principals with no chemical
fertilizers or sprays.
Margaret River has a well deserved reputation for premium
wines with a depth of flavour and intensity, the same conditions
that go to produce these flavours in the Margaret River
grapes also produce wonderful intense fruit characteristics
balanced with strong pungency and peppery aftertaste in
the olive oil.
Vasse Virgin Tasting room sought to create a destination
in which customers felt welcome and could spend time without
feeling any undue pressure to purchase, gaining an insight
and awareness into the olive oil industry and natural body
products with the healthy characteristics of olive oil as
the corner stone ingredient. Including information on olive
oil varietal tasting notes and educational information.
Visitors to our stylish new Vasse Virgin Olive Oil centre
can enjoy a hosted tasting, experiencing the variety of
extra virgin olive oils including Vasse Virgin estate grown
oil and a range of premium extra virgin olive oils sourced
from the best groves within the Margaret
River region and Western Australia.
Delicious gourmet condiments can be sampled including
a selection of locally, award winning Western Australian
and internationally sourced table olives, and Vasse Virgin
gastronomic delights in hand-made tapenades, vinaigrettes,
pasta sauces, pesto and dukkah, all made using the best
ingredients available with no artificial colours, preservatives
or additives.
