Nestled amongst national parks
and picturesque vine covered slopes is a relatively small
family owned olive grove committed to the production of
Olive Oil - one of those rare commodities -
something that tastes wonderful and is actually
good for you.
Margaret River has a well deserved reputation
for premium wines with a depth of flavour and intensity.
The same conditions that go to produce these flavours in
Margaret River grapes also produce wonderful flavour characteristics
in olive oil - intense fruit characters with strong pungency
and peppery aftertaste.
Visitors to our new dedicated
tasting centre can enjoy a hosted tasting, experiencing
the variety of extra virgin olive oils including Vasse Virgin
estate grown oil and a range of premium olive oils sourced
from the best groves within the Margaret River region.
Delicious gourmet condiments can be sampled including a
selection of locally and internationally sourced table olives,
and Vasse Virgin hand-made tapenades, vinaigrettes and dukkah.

Mark and Margie Bahen were first attracted to the olive
oil industry 15 years ago... Margie through childhood stories
of her Italian grandfather going to extraordinary efforts
to secure this then rare commodity from groves established
by the Benedictine Monks at New Norcia.
Mark through his attraction to the distinct
beauty of the olive tree itself and the challenge to produce
a product from ancient times that is the major ingredient
in the great cuisines of the Mediterranean.
“We appreciate the history and timelessness
of the olive grove. We find that a walk through the olive
grove is one of life’s steadying experiences. Working
in an olive grove helps to reset the ego and balance the
mind”
Mark Bahen
